Complete backwards and forwards compatibility with HDCAM SR decks and Dolby E hardware.
SurCode for Dolby E is available for Avid and VST, providing faster than real-time Dolby E encoding directly from your project timeline. The SurCode for Dolby E suite supports Avid's Pro Tools, Media Composer, NewsCutter and Symphony product lines, with an AudioSuite encoder/decoder and an RTAS decoder. VST 2.4 is also supported on 32 and 64 bit, surround-capable hosts including Nuendo, Pyramix, Fairlight and Sequoia. One license will run all versions on any platform.
New in 2.1
A new time saving Mixdown feature for Media Composer, Symphony and NewsCutter allows you to apply the RTAS decoder, in a faster-than-real time capacity, to a multichannel bus. This not only decodes the audio but automatically creates a multichannel track and prints the decoded PCM audio to that track.
Legacy Integration
If you need to integrate Dolby E into an existing tape-based workflow, SurCode for Dolby E Decoder can directly decode Dolby E streams from your Pro Tools timeline or from a live AES/EBU input feed from your deck. You can also lay back Dolby E assets to tape, using SurCode for Dolby E Decoder as a live input confidence monitor for real-time Dolby E decoding. Encode Dolby E streams as 16, 24 or 32 bit WAV files from Pro Tools to guarantee tape deck compatibility. These files can also be two-mono or a single stereo interleaved export.
